3/24/20
Dear Parents & Guardians,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend, and you are all staying healthy and safe!
I wanted to provide a quick update on what’s happening at New Vista School.
First of all, a big thank you to all parents and students for their continued hard work with the remote learning plan.
Secondly, a big thank you to all New VIsta staff for their dedication and support during these difficult times.
3. As a reminder, New Vista School will be closed until Friday April 10th. The school is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Monday. April 13th, 2020.
Spring Break dates are still from 4/6-4/10. As usual, there will be some work assigned during the break to keep students engaged with their studies.
4. We realize everyone has a lot going on. If your student requires accommodations, adjustments, or other assistance, please be sure to let your teachers and Mrs. Sharma know. We are all here to support each other. It is helpful if you provide suggestions when expressing a concern.
5. New Vista School implemented the remote learning plan as soon as possible so there would not be a gap in learning, and students could stay on their schedules. We are hearing that most schools will now be implementing virtual learning. Our goal is to try and help students stay on track, take initiative, problem solve, and continue to be engaged and make progress with the curriculum.
Please continue to provide your feedback and suggestions. We understand that this is a time for all of us to be flexible, understanding, and supportive. There is a lot going on at the campus for the few of us that are here supporting the remote learning program. Making sure students are following instructions, acting appropriately when online, and not disrupting the learning for other students are very helpful and appreciated!
Everyone at New Vista is sending out positive thoughts and appreciation for all you do.
Sincerely,
Bill Bermingham
Executive Director
