THANK YOU!!

The McBeth Foundation has generously granted New Vista School $60,000! The foundation’s goal is to provide financial support for the projects we would like to complete. To begin with, this generous gift will provide us with the funding we need to remodel our kitchen and develop a home economics program which will open for the spring semester! We are very grateful for the generous donations of the McBeth Foundation which has now provided New Vista School with $100,000 in support funds over the last 3 years. Thank you McBeth!

Good News For Kids Organization:

Good News For Kids is an organization of individuals, businesses, and charities who share a passion for helping to improve the lives of children in need. Based is Southern California, this volunteer group maintains a regional focus on children and their families who have been abused or neglected; are at risk of going hungry; suffer with serious health or medical issues; or are disadvantaged economically. By partnering with individuals, businesses and charities, Good News For Kids is helping to raise much needed funds and awareness to meet those needs.

Good News For Kids 2008 Event:

Mark your calendar for the 3rd Annual “Good News for Kids Gala” being held on November 13th, 2008. The gala will benefit New Vista School , City of Hope, TACA and Create Now; four wonderful Southern California children’s charities.  This spectacular event is being held at the Grove Theatre in Anaheim and will include a wonderful dinner, silent auction, special musical and dance performances, and a keynote address by notable cancer survivor, motivational speaker and rock drummer, Mark Schulman. Mark has played drums for thirty years with key artists in the entertainment field such as Sheryl Crow, Foreigner, Stevie Nicks, Pink, Destiny’s Child and Billy Idol. He is currently performing with Cher’s in Las Vegas. Mark spends his time away from drumming working with at-risk children using drums as a metaphor for life. You will enjoy his kind heart and powerful message delivered in a very unique and entertaining way. In just two short years, Good News for Kids has raised awareness for seven partner charities that serve children and families in need in our communities and raised over $445,000 to support their good work.
