Girls’ Club News
It has been exciting to watch Girls’ Club blossom in to something beautiful. The girls have made some great memories and have created deeper friendships. Two weeks ago the girls went on a field trip to the Irvine Spectrum. There they enjoyed laughing, eating frozen yogurt, riding the carousel, and of course shopping. Last week Ms. Glass talked to the girls about menstruation, and this week the girls had fun carving pumpkins. In November, the girls will be going to see High School Musical 3, learning about haircare and make up, and participating in a community service project.

We had a great first meeting today. The girls got to know each other while brainstorming ideas about the things they would like to do and what they want Girls’ Club to be. I have listed some of their fun ideas below. If you can help out with making any of these suggestions come into fruition please let me know. I will have to rely on volunteers in order to make some of the ideas happen. I will be sending home a parent note with girls. The note is to let you know there will be a one time dues fee of $20 to help cover the cost for snacks and or activities. Please let me know if your daughter has any allergies or food restrictions I should be aware of. Thank You! You can reach me at skugelberg@newvistaschool.org

The girls club will have guest speakers, involvement with typical teenage peers, and other girl related activities.
